For anyone expecting my hateful, dastardly self to post a rant on EQ Girls, sorry for disappointing you. I'm too tired of being angry. I enjoyed it, so shut up and leave me to try and become less cynical.

Sorry for the lack of activity, I go through a few months of severe lack of inspiration and depression , usually starting right at the beginning of summer, and this year I hit it right on the dot. I feel loads better, and I have been drawing. Give me time and I will post for all you lovely cherubs :3

I wanted to say that I recognize that I have more watchers, even though none of ya have spoken to me other than mentioned above.
But there's gotta be a reason you guys are watching me----you like my stuff, so I'm proposing requests for all of you because after I beat my long-term artist's block by forcing creativity on myself, I'm very eager and open to requests.

So if there's any free stuff you want, I'm happy to oblige

When it comes to putting my faith in a fandom I care about, I really did put everything I could into My Little Pony; Friendship is Magic.

When you join a fandom that you really care a great deal about, like I did, it's almost impossible to quit cold turkey. This fandom is amazing in itself in terms of love, acceptance, and appreciation of one another. But lately, certain things are beginning to tear this fandom up from the roots. Literally.
And I say 'literally', because everything we have grown to know and love about this show is being ripped apart and replaced with shit ideas like Alicorn Twilight. And I should probably mention, in my love for this show, I began to develop a case of severe denial. When I read the article posted on Entertainment Weekly by The Hub about Twilight becoming a princess, I tried to keep my feelings of anger down and I decided to accept it. Besides, what harm could it do?

Lots.

A single line of text from that article has remained burned into my skull for the past week and half, and I'm beginning to see it etched into my dreams.
"Despite this being a huge change, Hasbro has promised that Twilight will always, 'remain her old self."

Well. I'd love to see you pull that one off, Jayson Thiessen.

How the fuck can things stay the same? Twilight's being coronated into a friggin princess!!!
And I see on deviantART and lots of other sites that some people welcome this change. That;s perfectly okay. But my opinion is that those people have no idea what this could do to the fandom.
On the other side of the spectrum: Alicorn Twilight, vague and crappy production of season 3, and the overwhelming presence of trolls and haters is starting to bring the rest of us down.
I don't know if the rest of you noticed, but things were starting to get pretty damn shitty after Faust handed this franchise over to Thiessen. I like him, but his continuity planning and blueprinting of the episodes is getting worse and worse. And I'll give you my well-trained cartoon judgement skills right now:

Episode 1 & 2(AKA Crystal Empire two-parter)
-Loose. Vague. Funny at times. Very well animated but it seems that they ran out of time and used up too much space for 15 minutes, so they thinned out the ending to make it shorter, thus making it crappy and sudden. Not nearly enough villain, and the episode was too much about Twilight and Spike rather than saving an entire freaking empire. It was okay, but I can't very well analyze it.

Episode 3: Too Many Pinkie Pies
-Very funny. Loved the storyline and they integrated good jokes into it. Well animated and a comfortable kickback after the surprise disappointment from eps 1 & 2.

Episode 4: One Bad Apple
-Good stereotyping of Babs as a New Yorker. Liked it, loved the song and I enjoyed the whole thing about Babs only joining Diamond Tiara and her bitch Silver Spoon because she was afraid of getting picked on. Very real episode, in terms of relevance to real life.

Episode 5: Magic Duel
-Really liked Trixie's comeback as a newer, more powerful unicorn conjurer. Liked how she defeated Twilight, and that Twilight was able to realize that she didn't need magic to beat Trixie, but the way that she DID defeat her was really lame. You're going to rely on her acting skills? Really? How many of you thought of the Elements of Harmony when the term "mix your magic, use the Six" came up? I sure did. Also, Trixie's voice actor is not very good. Overall, it was good but mildly disappointing.

Episode 6: Sleepless in Ponyville
-Cute, funny, and sweet, but I feel that the writers were catering to the fandom a bit too muich when Scootaloo wanted RD to be her big sister. That was bullshit, because Scootaloo only loved RD and idolized her, and the whole 'sister' thing never appeared until people started to write fanfics containing such content. So, the episode was good but that whole deal was offsetting.

Episode 7: Wonderbolts Academy
-Not sure why people didn't like this one, I found myself watching it over and over again. Like One Bad Apple, this episode was very realistic because many people follow the image of their best friend even if it's not the best, like RD did with Lightning Dust. It was a very cute, funny, and real episode and so far is my favorite.

Episode 8: Apple Family Reunion
-Not one that I watched twice. It was decent, but not super eye catching. If anything, I personally found it a little annoying and repetitive. Not sure why I don't like it very much, but I THINK it might be because Applejack is my least favorite. I don't hate her, she's just low on the chopping block. Decent episode. Cute song.

Episode 9: Spike At Your Service
-Hated this episode. Hated it. It was annoying and juvenile at the beginning, and that went on for 20 minutes. The CGI animation of the timber wolves was really stupid because it made them look worse than they did when they were just 2D. Their movements were stiff and inflexible, and Spike's dumbass "Dragon Code" was so broken it was almost sad. If any of you paid attention, Cadence saved his purple ass from being devoured by a corrupt unicorn king in the two-parter, and even better, in her weakest moments. She was almost dead and she still saved him, even if her main focus was on the Crystal Heart. Young and healthy Applejack saves him from creepy-ass wooden wolves that shatter with a shot of a single pebble, and lo and behold, he has to follow her around like an abused boyfriend and fuck up everything that he does. This showed that Spike truly has no depth at all and the only reason he stays with Twilight is because of an ethical code, and he's willing to abandon the mother figure in his life for a one-time savior friend, which isn't really true but was made so in these 20 minutes. Bad episode, no continuity bothered here, fuck you, let's move on.

Episode 10: Keep Calm and Flutter On
-Comebacks much? First Trixie and now Discord? Kinda weird. Thiessen must be running out of ideas. Anyway, I like the fact that Discord came back and isn't gonna be fucking things up with his chocolate milk rain anymore, but it was still kind of disappointing how there's one less villain now. Since there's basically no Sombra because he was barely in the two-parter, we have to rely on Chrysalis now...... How sad that we fucking BLASTED THE LAST VILLAIN WE HAD THROUGH THE ATMOSPHERE but I digress....Cute episode, Fluttershy is still adorable, and her outbursts of anger are cute too. Discord is also kind of fluffy when he wants friends.

Episode 11: Just For Sidekicks
-Lame, boring, uneventful, annoying. Didn't appreciate wasting a week anticipating the next episode then having it be 20 minutes of MOAR FUCKING SPIKE, ENOUGH WITH THE FUCKING SPIKE and his weird gem fetish. Angel is an asshole.

Episode 12: Games Ponies Play
-I finally watched this episode, and the tie-in to Just for Sidekicks was a great idea. I thought it was a good touch and they really did make it work. This episode was funny and cute and I like what they did with the whole Ms. Harshwhinny ordeal. Good episode, glad it was better than the previous few. Cadence's hair was freakin' sweet and Shining Armor's laugh made me fangirl all over my desk

Episode 13: Magical Mystery Cure
-Sorry it took so long to find time to review. I overall really, really liked this episode. Even though I rant and rave about how much I hate every aspect it brought to light, I liked this a lot. Couple points though. Point #1: Seven songs? Really? Really, you're gonna put seven songs into a shortened finale?? What the hell? And yes, I count the coronation march at the end sung by the Fluttershy look-alikes. You're lucky I liked the songs, Daniel Ingram. Point#2. Shortened finale??? WAAAY too short to explain all the shit that just went down, yo. Point#3. Obviously... The whole alicorn thing.
So, basically, I couldn't help that this episode was awesome and I'm too enveloped in this fandom to be mad at it for too long. But that doesn't mean that I'm not exactly happy with the brand-new continuity thing.

Anyway, I hope you noticed that for the most part, the episodes slowly get shittier and shittier(also, the quality of the episodes depends on who wrote them. i.e; I've noticed that James Wootton pumps out the episodes that I like the least). So, the growing suckiness of the episodes is starting to chase me away. I would mark down the days until Saturday and when the hour finally came, i would fangirl all over the place and wait for SOMEONE to post the new episode on YouTube. Now, I cringe when I see the new episode update staring at me, and click on it tentatively. This is not acceptable. My heart would race and my cheeks would glow with happiness whenever a new episode started, and now that feeling of joy and excitement is gone. I miss that feeling terribly.

So I guess this jumbled rant blog was just about me doing a double take about this fandom and giving my reasons why things are beginning to suck ass. I hope that the writers get their shit together so that I can stop considering leaving, or I might have to.

The title of this blog is what it is because ponies are starting to not only consume me, but I feel sick when I try to draw them, I Can't watch the episodes without feeling guilty for watching them, and I'm worried that too many people will leave and this fandom won't be able to stay afloat.

Even if I do leave, I sincerely hope it survives this crap with Twilicorn and Thiessen and hopefully the story will get set right.
